Paparoa Track (NEWTP)

The Paparoa Track Te Ara o Paparoa Great Walk traverses the Paparoa Range from Blackball to Punakaiki.  It takes you through alpine tops, limestone karst landscapes and thriving rainforests, and provides breath-taking views.  
The Pike29 Memorial Track a grade 4 cycle and easy tramping track between the Pike River Mine site and the Paparoa Track on the top of the range, was opened for public use in February 2024.  
This map shows a large part of the Paparoa National Park and the adjacent reserves.
