This map is ideal for anyone planning to visit Mera Peak. It is compact and handy while maintaining a very good scale. However, there is a limitation: the high mountains in the north cannot be shown. For this reason, it is recommended to also carry the NE 519 Everest Base Camp map, which will help you identify the mountains more effectively.

Coverage and Routes

The map begins in the southwest at Nuntala (Jiri-Namche Way) and showcases the three main access routes to Mera Peak:

1. Direct Route from Lukhla via the 4610 m Zatrwa La

   • This option is suitable only if you are already well-acclimatised to high altitudes.
   • Otherwise, there is a risk of altitude sickness, which could lead to the cancellation of your tour.

2. Route via the Village of Panggom

   • Located south of Lukhla, this route offers a steady ascent through the valley of the Inkhu Khola.
   • It provides an ideal opportunity for acclimatisation.

3. Detour to the East via Panch Pokhari

   • This route includes a scenic detour through the magnificent mountain environment of Panch Pokhari, featuring five stunning lakes.
