Following the so-called Arab spring of a few years ago, northern Africa experienced much turbulence. Egypt underwent significant changes, including:

• The overthrow of the government
• The installation of a radical religious-oriented replacement
• The subsequent installation of military governance

Tourism plummeted during this period, and most map publishers discontinued their maps of the country. However, five years later, Egypt has stabilized, and tourism is growing. We feel that the time is right to re-introduce our ITMB map of Egypt.

  This version highlights the portions of the country that have been reopened for tourism, spanning from the Mediterranean coastline south to the Aswan Dam.

  • Note: Areas further south and the border crossing with Sudan remain closed for the moment.
  • Border areas with Libya also remain unstable.

  • Large inset map of Egypt: Covers the entire country, including desert areas.
  • Cairo map: A detailed view of Cairo, featuring:
    • An inset of the Giza Pyramid complex located just west of Cairo.
