Brazil, or more properly, Brasil, is a challenging country to map due to its unique geographical and population distribution. Most of the developed areas are concentrated in the relatively small extreme south of the country, while the vast Amazon Basin in the north is lightly populated and difficult to access.

Key Features of the Map:

• Dual-sided design:

  • The south portion is mapped at a detailed scale, covering key locations like Rio and Sao Paulo to assist travelers.
  • The north portion is presented at a respectable but more limited scale, which still includes Brasilia, the capital, located on the north side of the sheet.

• Road conditions:

  • Roads north of Brasilia tend to be less well-paved compared to those in the south.

Additional Details:

• Shape challenges: The unique shape of Brazil limits space for inset maps. However, a central Rio inset has been included. Visitors are encouraged to bring along ITM maps of Rio and Sao Paulo for a more enjoyable exploration.
