Albania | ITMB 2024

This is our 3rd edition of Albania, and we have made improvements to the artwork.

Albania is a country full of contrasts and surprises:

• A bit of a mystery: Ostensibly Muslim, yet surprisingly secular.
• A proud history: Formerly ardently communist, it is the only portion of the former Soviet Empire to vote out the communists and establish a democratic form of governance.
• Looking to the future: Proud of its heritage but eager to join the EU.

The country is pulling itself up by its own bootstraps, improving infrastructure as it can afford to, without relying on loans or foreign aid. It is as Mediterranean as Greece, offering a unique charm and character.

Albania is truly one of Europe’s hidden treasures, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this remarkable country.
