Cape Reinga
Parts of the track network can be selected as day walks or combined into longer tramps. Water supplies are limited. Trampers need to be self-sufficient. The limited roading and few settlements are shown. The combination of contours and relief shading, gives a realistic landform. Thousands of visitors come to Te Rerenga Wairua (Cape Reinga) every year. It is an area that is rich with rare flora and fauna and has important cultural and spiritual significance to Mâori. |
